These old Nintendo games retain their value, but why?
Nintendo has stated that reducing the cost reduces their value as an IP. Therefore they refuse and actively keep companies from having sales or discounts on them.

Nintendo stans will always buy them. But if you don't buy them on day one then don't bother. Nintendo will cost the same price to jump in on day 1 as it does on day 1000.

Not always. By waiting a little while, I paid $35 less than retail for Mario Wonder and $40 less for Tears of the Kingdom.

Is Mario wonder better than deluxe? Mostly interested in co-op.

I've played the first two worlds of Mario Wonder. It was very entertaining with the wonder effects and is on my list of games to finish. I'm sure they both have different co-op strengths. I haven't played New Super Mario Deluxe. But I hear alot of people like that it allows you to bump into and pick up other players.
