$10.00 vs $11.99 ~ $2 dollars more. Do people still get fooled into thinking $0.99 is somehow closer to zero than $1? I didn't think that was a thing any more.

solar panel on powerbanks is useless. A 20,000 mah bank will require at minimum 10 hours per day, no shade, direct sunlight for 3 weeks

yeah it seems like you have to do a number on the battery cells inside, with heat from the sunlight needed to get it to charge up enough to make a blip on its state of charge. still... the promise would be you can just kinda leave it somewhere not under direct sunlight and maybe fingers crossed it means when you finally pick it up to use it might be topped off instead of certainly drained. That's all the hope we can have from the silly solar panel.
Now the 30kmah one has usb-c. $12 for a usbc sporting power bank is still bonkers cheap. tempted to get it just to see if it's any good. maybe mod some known good lithium cells into it (assuming the ones it comes with are trash)

I have this and the solar charging is absolutely useless. Even after two days of direct sunlight exposure during a hiking trip it barely turned itself on to charge other devices I needed it the most. It is a good normal power bank.

I think it's an at first glance thing look up left digit psychology. Odds are that you will catch some people who are less analytical or moving fast.

Eg.
Going through a super market many will tally 10 x $10.99 as $100 vs $110 in their head as they are browsing.

Or

A person with a budget of $100 is like %40 more likely to pop if the item is $99.99 than $100. The stats are stupid, but then so are humans 😂.

$99.99 subconsciously indicates "I'm getting a deal" vs $100 subconsciously indicates "this right at my budget and requires thought".
