Also keep in mind that the Switch 2 version is a Game Key Card. That means the game isn't on the cartridge itself, you will need an internet connection to download the game to your Switch 2.

I don't like Game Key Cards, but don't have anything against them. If there is a market for them, there is nothing wrong with Nintendo selling to that market. But just wanted to inform those that might not know of game key cards.

It's important to note that the Switch 1 version of this cannot be upgraded to the Switch 2 version. You can play the Switch 1 version on Switch 2 but it will perform like the Switch 1.

It's important to note that the Switch 1 version of this cannot be upgraded to the Switch 2 version. You can play the Switch 1 version on Switch 2 but it will perform like the Switch 1.

And the Switch 1 version has the game on the cartridge. The Switch 2 version is a key card. I don't mind the key cards, but I know some do.

Does anyone know how much of a difference the Switch 2 version is from the Switch 1?

So they want to put a cheaper/smaller memory chip in their "cartridges" and essentially be steam but only for their switch network until that goes away while putting the onus on the buyer to get bigger hard drives to save all the downloaded games? I'm with you. I'm not getting a switch 2 if I'm not allowed to own the games that i buy for that system in perpetuity

Thanks for this, was going to buy a switch 1 version to have a full game on cart. Now I'll buy neither.
