Vast majority of compact GaN Anker/Baseus/UGreen chargers also throttle, it's just not advertised. Apple is surprisingly transparent, they could have called this is a 60W charger like competitors.

in reality, they are living in a fantasy world using and buying Temu quality products and wishing they had enough money to buy OEM products
imagine crashing out on Slickdeals because you dont want to pay $5-10 more for a genuine Apple charger, pretty embarrassing
In what world is uGreen and Anker trusted over Apple/Google, in the world of people so cheap they eat half a cheeseburger from McDonalds and leave the other half to reheat for dinner. Two meals for $2 now thats a slickdeal.
Then he makes a long post explaining how he is "loyal to his money and not brands"
Loyal to your money? $10 is a rounding error. Maybe if his money situation was in the proper place he wouldnt have to resort to insulting people for purchasing an OEM charger.
It's a charger if you cant afford it and others can and are willing to pay for it, you just have to move along.
My current iPhone XS is probably the longest I've kept an iPhone, and it's at 82% battery health. I'll be upgrading that soon though to an iPhone 17 pro. My iPhone XS didn't get the latest iOS update, and Verizon is offering a deal to switch that's too good to pass up.

That isn't to say that this isn't a very good charger; the efficiency is high enough that apple is confident in letting it go from 60w to 40w for short periods and it doesn't thermal throttle after either. It's also decent for future proofing and very tiny for what it is. But if you're ok giving up some of the efficiency/size you can wait till USB 3.2 SPR AVS chargers start coming out from third parties to save a bit of cash.
