FWIW, Steam keys don't actually expire BUT BUT BUT you need to redeem them from Humble (or wherever) to make sure yours get allocated to you. Pretty simple stuff. Store them in a spreadsheet if you plan to hoard them until the end of time. That's what I do when I have dups that I plan to barter with later. Humble isn't a bank nor did they ever promise to guard those keys until the second coming. Heck, I don't even understand why anyone would expect Humble to act like their duplicate DRM safety deposit box.

When I checked some of my truly ancient unrevealed Humble keys, some over a decade old, the ones I tried still revealed a Steam key and even stranger was keys I'm 100% positive I revealed and redeemed on Steam when I bought them gave me totally different new Steam keys. This must be a glitch. I don't know if I dare redeem or give these bonus keys to friends knowing how Humble has banned some people for key gifting if somehow their keys end up on gray market sites. These days some companies punish customers for the companies' mistakes (bad software programming), so I could totally see if they accidentally gave out a second set of keys and they were used, they might punish me.
In the most recent bundles, like this one, the way the expiration warning is worded makes it sound like they will actually expire the Steam keys after 6 months. Going forward that's fine because now we know about it, but they shouldn't expire any Steam keys gotten before this new policy was in place.
