unsure why you're getting downvoted, motor oil geek did a comprehensive video and the summary was top tier gasoline is pretty much equivalent to using this stuff. and I bought a case of 6 a while back to before watching the video lol

Costco is, in fact, top tier. They turn their fuel over so fast, it is the freshest you will find. Add this stuff and you are good.

Alternate (perhaps controversial) slickdeal - consider using gasoline that is Top Tier certified instead of spending on a separate additive.

I try to stick to only Top Tier gas, but I'll also throw in a bottle of Techron every few thousand miles just for good measure. This stuff is so good at cleaning carbon deposits that it can't hurt to give the engine a bit extra every now and then.

Last time I tried this promo it said it worked at checkout, but I got charged full price for order quantity of 1 after waiting 3 weeks to ship. Just my experience, sometimes I hate Amazon.

totally agree... i work with a TOP TIER 1 company and the stuff they put in the gas already is literally the same - if not better - than having to purchase additives...

Fuel system clogs can happen for a number of reasons, not just related to the fuel you buy. Look up if your state uses Reformulated Gas, as that narrows the gap so much I don't find much of a benefit in most of those states for "Top Tier" gas at all. Even then, it's debatable.

(Top Tier stations tend to be branded and more gentrified, so there's potentially some lower risk of contaminations in the delivery chain).

Regardless, the best time to use this if you aren't having an issue, is 1-2 tank ups before an oil change. Same with Seafoam, etc.

Any of this that gets blasted into the cylinders as part of fuel may promote dislodging some contaminants into oil lubricants. This ensures it gets knocked into the old oil-and-filter about to be changed out.

Not if you have a clogged fuel injector. If your car is running roughly or was exposed to water in the fuel (think Breaking Bad chemical heist - happens with fuel all the time)...

... Then yes, it works very well. Can save you from an injector replacement.

If performance improves but stays rough, it's also a solid diagnostic that something is off in the fuel system.

For maintenance? Really depends on how much the fuel you buy doesn't get messed around with. You don't have much of a way to know that.

interesting thing. I was at dealership last week and complained about my old car's bad mileage. The service advisor asked where I go for fuel. When I told him Costco, he showed me a dirty valve and claimed it is from a car use Costco gas a lot. He said Top Tier is a standard created decades ago and not good enough for cars nowadays. He suggest only to use Shell, Mobile, Chevron...
