I caved and bought one as a backup in case SSD prices spiral out of control in the future. Considering the circumstances and how much high end PCIe 4.0 drives have gone up, the price is good.

Agreed. I think prices are just going to go up from here. I bought one myself. I'm going with the addage "Buy now, regret later." but I'm pretty sure I won't regret buying now.
