I think LPDDRX means that 90% if not 100% of the time

If it doesn't mention CAMM2 it literally has to be soldered.

Wish there was more RAM but this could be good for someone who does simple productivity and a little bit of gaming. The price seems right and 2 yr all state warranty seems good

It is soldered. This has been my daily driver for most of 2025, and I love it. It can pull 12,600 in Time Spy but doesn't get too crazy hot (I do use a laptop cooler), has a very nice screen, really solid build quality, and has been reliable for me. I don't think I've ever had a slowdown or freeze up due to running out of RAM. Of course, I'm not doing heavy video editing or 30 tasks simultaneously. But 16 GB has not been a problem for gaming or other tasks.

This is an exceptional deal for anybody who wants a compact powerhouse.

612 for a 4070 laptop is wild

Up until recently I've been gaming and doing normal multi-tasking just fine on 16GB, I only upgraded due to finding a deal I liked on a prebuilt to lock in what I would pay for RAM. This will be my new portable system, it's basically the same price as a handheld and will perform much better.

After researching it... I decided to go for it (Upgrading from a 3050 ti) so it'd have been substantial, and the price just went up to $764.
Guess i'm not upgrading then.

Figured I would update on the status of my order. (612 price)

I ordered on 12/15 basically as soon as the deal got posted. (Price felt like a buy now, think later kind of deal)

3 days ago I got an email from Allstate regarding warranty activation, zero updates or order status from Acer. I decided to not message them and let it play out.

I got an email today saying they were having delays, but it will ship - and got a tracking number. I feel like one of the lucky few, I hope some other folks managed to get an order through without cancellation. The ~750 price they updated the deal to was a fair price, but I probably would not have ordered at that price.

Hopefully I get a unit in good shape, after all the issues with RAM and having to bite the bullet on several other things, a small win on this would be nice. It does suck that I was going to use this for Christmas travel, but there's no way in heck it will arrive before then at this rate. I'll have a good excuse to return home so I can pick it up before porch pirates get it though.
