We use the 840 G8 (Intel) version of these at work. The main issue we see is that the laptop chargers randomly stop working and every now and then the laptop will have issues connecting devices via USB. The fix for this has been to unplug everything from the device, shut down the laptop, then press and hold the power button for 90 seconds. That helps to soft reset the board and get the USB working again.

For the chargers, we have about 300 machines and have had 10-15 go out in the last year. For the USB issues, it's kinda random and we do the soft reset anytime we see issues with docking to the USB-C docking stations. Worst case, we do a BIOS update and dock firmware update, then power cycle and soft reset both.

They changed condition from Very Good to just Good. A lot of people were probably upset about receiving dinged up laptops. eBay describes Very Good as being in like new condition

Do you use the usb-c chargers or are you using the old school HP standard charging plugs. We've been using the elitebook G8 for a few years now and have never had any of the aforementioned problems..

It's a 6 core Zen3. The Zen3 is still a very performant CPU. It will handle daily tasks and productivity software very well. It won't be the most efficient though compared to a current generation laptop. the iGPU isn't great compared to today's options, but it's much improved over the Intel counterparts of the same generation.

For the "Terrible Deal 4 year old CPU" guy, people are building new Zen3 computers because DDR4 is much more affordable, so it is still a very relevant chip.
