Avias at walmart are way better than these. These opening looks too narrow and very bad for people with fat feet to even get into.

Meh, Never bought shoes online but at $17? I'll bite. It said good for wide sweaty feet. That's me!
I don't think they have enough side support for Tennis, basketball, etc. but seem perfect for walking on asphalt.

Absolutely. Avia has similar slip-on sneakers, but MUCH more comfortable, on sale for $20 right now, normally $30 called "Avia Coil On Sneakers." They're also infinitely more durable than the normal Walmart Athletic Works brand. Highly, highly recommend Avia instead of Athletic Works (or the cheap Chinese sneakers in this thread.)

I've owned one pair. Lasted about two years. Not bad considering the abuse I put them through.
