For those not committed to a color, this is essentially the same product as the Craftsman CMCF830. And if you're clever, you can get that + drill + 2 batts for just under $100.

  • Impact driver: Deck screws, lag bolts, rusty/stuck bolts, automotive work, framing, anything where you need serious torque
  • Drill: Drilling holes, delicate assembly work, driving small screws in soft materials, anything needing control

I did this with the Dewalt DCD1007 drill and the DCF845b driver plus two 4ah powerstack batteries $370 down to $220. Is this craftsman drill the same as the DCD1007 or one of the older models like the DCD999/998?

highly recommend you watch projectfarms review of these products. dewalt, while not always the winner is clearly a more reliable brand than craftsman. Hopefully craftsman makes a comeback, but they just aren't really competitive

Good Plebeian, Craftsman as a creator is dead... long dead. At this point it's just a name under a massive conglomerate umbrella targeting different markets. Stanley Black & Decker just uses money to dominate a market and make it look like you have innovation and choice. While that is a fairly pessimistic sentiment, the world me live in just brings it out of me.
