2 year warranty by Allstate, otherwise Ego won't warranty it since eBay isn't an authorized retailer. Considering these are $130 new on sale, it doesn't seem worth the hassle.

I own one of these and snagged it as a clearance item some years ago. For this price just add a little more and get an ecoflow or jackery...a standalone battery generator.

I'd say it depends on how many Ego batteries you have lying around. Definitely don't buy a battery to go with this, that would be far more expensive! And if you only have one or two small Ego batteries, yeah you can probably get equivalent capacity for a lower cost in a standalone battery, plus it'll be a more compact package.

I've got something like 700 Wh of Ego batteries, that much capacity in an Ecoflow battery is north of $300.

At this price, this invertor is a decent way to get some more use out of an existing collection of Ego batteries.

It should be obvious that you should only buy this if you already have EGO batteries.

Agreed but my point or recommendation is, at this price point it's not even worth it if you have batteries. Standalone battery generators pop up here often for not so much more. And you get way more.
