Instead of buying this tool & batteries as a single line item, buy everything separate and gain more flexibility on which tool(s) you want, the ability to return either item if unwanted, ability to hack if that's your style, etc.

Go to battery listing [homedepot.com], choose your wanted tool, pay.

In the case of these batteries shown and folding work light shown, you're paying $94.74 for batteries/charger and $104.26 for the work light. Same total price but option to return each as/if needed.

This is the way, I tried every combo and the cheapest was to get the light for $105 with the 5A/2A battery + Charger for $95 for the return

You're correct, I updated my post. I swear when I looked yesterday the "MSRP price" crossed out for the light was $199, which would make the split 50/50.

How did you find the light by itself?

Do you think Home Depot would let you return the other one and keep the item half off or were they void the deal?

That's why they put it in your cart as two different items and two different prices, so you can return one

I haven't tried it, but I've heard some stores will make you return both items now.
