you do know that a majority of PC games are digital right?
What does that have to do with a ps5 post?

I don't think so, I personally pay for the experience and am not going to play forever so I don't want or need the clutter. Of course I get why people don't want games to go all digital for resale and trading and collecting. I'm definitely not one of them.

I was responding to someone crapping on a commenter wishing the deal was on a digital version of the game. There are people who are so pro physical media that they forget that game discs have been virtually phased out in the PC arena so whether you own a game digitally on the PC, PlayStation, or Xbox is really doesn't matter.

Why does that even matter? Game values depreciate hard. Not everyone has the time to sit and play games for extended period of time just so they can finish it quickly and sell it.

I like switching games easily without getting up like a cave man. Plus when future gen consoles are released eventually without physical drives, I'll still have my library. Perspectives varies.

It's so weird when people make a big deal about owning a meh 15$ game that they'll play once, put on the shelf and never touch again...
Unless you're actually concerned about flipping a 15$ game??? Because that's hilarious LMAO

Exactly! People really are being jerks about this whole digital vs physical thing. I own 72 PS5 games, and only 4 are physical discs. I'm not about to store 50+ discs in my TV stand. The goal is saving money in buying a game you might enjoy.
How are you saving money? Digital cost just as much and in some cases more than physical games. I'm old school I prefer having my media on hand. Once they put a stop to the servers it's good bye digital game.

Bro, it's not that serious. You don't understand that PC games are pretty much digital. I just bought this game on Ubisoft for $11.

The deluxe edition is $26.99 in the PS store as a digital purchase right now and includes DLCs. Does anyone know if the DLC is worth it OR if the standard game at $14.99 is good enough?
The Gold is $32.99 which includes the Expansion DLCs. Deluxe does not include the Expansion DLCs, it includes cosmetic DLCs

Wowzers.... that's a lot of PS5 games!

I think a lot of these people are collectors, either that or they just want to play it and sell it. This would make more sense for switch games, which do a phenominal job of retaining their value.

For 1, digital games aren't taxed. Secondly, physical prices are better initially, but digital prices catch up fairly quickly if you know where to look and when to shop. For example, I was looking for Dirt 5 for the PlayStation 4 as a Christmas present for a kid. On the used market, the game is $36+. Right now, its you can get dual ownership of the PS4 and PS5 version for $19.99 on PSN.

I'm old school gamer myself from the SNES days, but I'm also a married man who doesn't have much space to hold a bunch of video games. I know that owning a digital game is just a license for the product, but you gotta remember three things with physical media:

1) Some physical discs don't contain the entire game which means you'll still need the internet to download the rest.
2) The physical disc will always be the worst version of game so if the server shuts down then you might be left with buggy mess even if you decide to revisit the game decades later.
3) Games that are only online multiplayer and don't have a single player campaign are eventually doomed anyway once servers are pulled offline. In that case, it really doesn't matter what version of the game you own because its paperweight now.

Use the code HOLIDAY at checkout on Ubisoft connect and it drops the game from $21 to $11.

This is what the digital, DRM-infested future holds if physical dies.
