Honest question, why would one buy this over one with a built-in rechargeable battery? I hate AA based devices if I can get one that is USB-C based.
Because they don't work, they have no power, don't shave anything, blades just stop when they hit any amount of fuzz

Not true. I just bought a rechargeable one at this price and am very happy as I used it already twice. The below link is expired but it's what I bought.https://slickdeals.net/f/18927358

I have never in my entire life encountered a need to shave my fabric. Never even knew a product like this existed. Why do you people shave your fabric?

I have owned a few electric fabric shavers. If you shave a lot of fabric, it's better to buy the rechargeable one. I went through a lot of batteries when I made felted wool throw from used wool sweaters. Now, I have a rechargeable fabric shaver and it works very well. I paid about $20 from Amazon.

Another tip is to not press the fabric shaver too much on the fabric while trying to get all the fuzziness at once. I have made the mistake and made a hole on the fabric once. Slide the fabric shaver gently on the fabric when you use the shaver.

This is one of those things you need to buy from reputable brand that's been selling them for a long time, can get a decent one for around $15 from Corsair that's sold in major retail stores
Corsair sells lint shavers? Does it come with RGB?

A long long time ago, I bought something similar from a local store and it sucked. But for $5, why not give it another try. I'm surprised this thing works pretty well. Getting concerned that made-in-china has improved so much. Even the made-in-china games have far less bugs these days.
