Beats the BF deal by $10 and I was highly considering it for $500. I was preferring the Staples deal with bigger drive and touch screen for $50 more (than the previous $500 price) but none near me and it's in store only.
Took a look at various deals at best buy, and tons of open box deals. Many better machines than this.
But end of the day, this laptop checks most of the boxes for me, and is as cheap as a modern machine can get in new condition. Plus, it has a number pad, which I highly appreciate.
This seems as slick as I can get.
Update: I got the laptop and I like it. Being critical, the build quality is so-so. There's a lot of flex in the frame for something that is aluminum. OK, fine. But the weight seems on the heavy side for something that is so thin and flexible. But it's a sub $500 consumer grade laptop, I pretty much expected all of that. Screen brightness is what you'd expect too. Its fine for indoor use.
The keyboard does not feel great to use, and the buttons of the track pad are pretty meh. Those two are worse than I expected, but again its a cheap laptop so I'm not surprised.
Its a very capable laptop and there's no buyers remorse here. Great for students and any budget use.
Also FYI, Linux works well on it too if that's more your jam.

Edit: Called Walmart CS which has been AI shitified. Walmart doesn't do price adjustments after purchase even when less than 10 days. They would rather I return it and reorder the item which involves many more wasted resources than just crediting my card. Are you fking shitting me!?!

Is all of that worth $50?
Otherwise, good price.

All of the Best buy's open box PCs, the prices went up today.
It seems retailers are playing hide & seek with customers & dump the old stock and customers are eagerly waiting to grab a best deal. same old story, nothing new
Got a similar system for my kid that plays a lot of roblox and other type games. Plays them all very well.
Here is an idea...how about you provide a suggestion on how to deal with them based on a past experience OR move along. No one asked to compare Wally World and Bezopolis. Everyone is already aware they both suck.
Here a better idea, how about you accepting the fact that one user experience is different from one to another? YMMV on policies.
Similar stupid game with subscribe and save. You could just give me the best possible price, but I can hit S&S and then cancel it once my purchase is en route to my home.
