Buyer beware. They haven't shipped my order from weeks ago yet. I know the date says as much, but it's a little strange especially with the incoming potential ban.

I think this is important to repeat.

You don't need the "transceiver" to fly the Neo 2 using your phone but if one day you want to use one of the remotes and the googles, you need to buy that those equipments PLUS you will need one small piece called a "transceiver" that attaches to the back of the Neo 2 and is sold separately if you buy this package (other more expensive Neo2 packages include the transceiver inside the box).

The transceiver is not easy to find and when you do manage to find an authentic one (not a fake), they're pretty expensive avg $75.

DJI Neo 2 is a compact, highly portable drone that shines for quick takeoffs, gesture control, and phone flying, with auto shot modes and support for goggles and FPV controllers. The drone can fly without a remote or phone for basic actions, while the phone extends setup and manual control. Range is limited on phone control, and real world flight time is short, around 7 to 10 minutes per battery. This drone only package does not include the transceiver needed for goggles or remote use, and Amazon shipping has been inconsistent for some orders.

  • Traveling pilots who want pocketable aerial shots, because it can launch from a pocket, fly with a phone, and use gesture-based auto-shot modes.

    unlimitedlvlwiseghostTFreakburg

  • First-time FPV hobbyists who plan to grow into goggles and controllers, because it supports phone flying now and later works with goggles and FPV gear.

    TFreakburgkensteeleEdbmsm

  • Drone owners who value short-range casual flying, because phone control works for a few hundred meters in open air and the remote extends altitude and distance.

    wiseghostwiseghostkingdenniz518

  • Buyers who want a compact drone with strong portability, because it can take off and perform basic actions straight from a pocket without extra gear.

    unlimitedlvlkingdenniz518

  • Shoppers who need predictable delivery timing, because orders have sometimes sat unshipped for weeks or arrived far later than promised.

    dirtbag88kensteelesaintirishHoumanhemmati

  • Pilots who need long battery endurance, because flight time can be around 7 to 10 minutes per battery.

    pendejo1BlahgodSlickLULZ

  • FPV buyers expecting a complete goggles setup in the box, because this package does not include the transceiver needed for goggles use.

    SlickCrayon1512kensteelekenyee

  • Windy-day flyers who need stable long-distance control, because it can struggle in wind and cannot go far on phone control.

DJI official website is 209, right?

Edit, it seems is Singapore… I don't know why Google shows me that website.

Mine have delivered promptly/met the promised delivery windows.
I saw those but I picked one of the bigger packages for cheap knowing the dates were later. Not a problem for me, this is my 2nd one.

These won't be "delivered" until after xmas which should tell you they are still in China. That being said, the ban coming Tuesday won't allow these in the country. I hope anyone dumb enough to buy one uses a credit card so they are not liable.
That's not true; stop with the b.s. The truth is we don't know for sure. Some DJI drones are already being stopped from entering so this would be no different.

I have purchased one of these transceivers on AliExpress. It still hasn't shipped yet. Am I likely to receive a fake? Are there documented cases already of people receiving a fake one of these? Is it completely useless if so?
They are more like knockoffs and from what I have seen, they are accurately labeled as "non-OEM" and I have no idea how well they work. If your ad says OEM or original or DJI then you are likely to get the real thing.

Postban? Your current DJI gear still works, but support, parts, and firmware updates requiring FCC approval become difficult
There should not be any restrictions on the Neo drones since they all have FCC so until that is revoked, we should be fine. Hardly any DJI drone is getting parts and repair in the US today so that won't change even after Dec.

I bought my first one from eBay. The purchase from Amazon is for those who have Amazon credits piling up and need to use them, those who enjoy 5% Amazon discounts, anyone who wants to buy the Amazon-provided insurance rather than the eBay provided-insurance and anyone who wants the convenience of easily returning the drone right down the street instead of mailing it back to Asia in case the drone arrives DOA. This is my 2nd NEO2 purchase and I have no problem waiting. Otherwise I agree with you, eBay is the preferred way.

This is annoying because it happened with Govee for me. I just made a new order and it's shipping faster. When you have to do a new order in order to get a discount or faster shipping, something is really wrong. Amazon has gone downhill.

I also put in an order from this same outfit on December 7 on Amazon, and it still hasn't shipped yet. Very disappointing.
I'm still waiting for DVDs and marshmallows I ordered on Amazon in November that still haven't shipped and aren't supposed to arrive until this weekend. I'm not sure what happened to Amazon but long wait times has become normal for many products.

Just like in this thread, there are some merchants who believe Dec 23 is the last day to sell DJI drones to anyone who buys in the US. If I erroniously thought the same, I would lower my prices as well in an attempt to make sure I have zero DJI drones in stock on Dec 24 particularly if 100% of my sales were to Americans.

DJI website states that what happens after 12/23 is unknown. They also state it is possible all DJI products (not just drones) could be banned from being sold.
"...you may not even be able to purchase DJI products already available in the market. This listing is expected to impact all DJI products - not just DJI drones. The rules remain unclear, but the risk is real."

You can fly with your phone, but not too far, up to 50 meters. Neo 2 can also fly independently in auto shot modes and be controlled by gestures.
I believe it's up to 500 meter. The old neo 1 was 50 meters.

Yep, you are correct, my bad. I edited the original post. Also some guy tested it on youtube and the drone was able to fly 300m away in the open controlled by phone (with the antennas). It's actually pretty good.

DJI only speaks for themselves and not for the hundreds of merchants, retailers, and sellers all over the world that sell to Americans. DJI has zero control over that. DJI has already stopped selling drones to the US, why would you believe they have anything to say about what everybody will eventually do? Bottom line is DJI doesn't know what they are talking about (they are confused) and instead of referencing an old article with political wording there is a more recent interview with someone from DJI and he does NOT say this aloud.

I don't depend on DJI to tell me what's going on in my own country. Why would I believe them when they won't even say what's going on in their own company?
