Lol, go ahead and spend 2x to have the convenience of not having to have an extra cable around (which btw is included). You don't even need a charger with these. Just consider the cable as the charger.

Edit:
After reading reviews I canceled my order. There were pictures and reviews of batteries blowing up. There's a reason why integrating a charger into a battery is not a good idea on something this small.

These things are pretty nasty. Fried 2 just plugging the micro-B connectors in. Continued to get hot even unplugged. Took them outside expecting them to catch fire (they didn't).

Curious...why would you waste a more expensive battery that sacrifices capacity for a built-in charging system, for use in a device with a built-in charger?

I bought a set of 4 of these last month. Unfortunately, they are slightly oversized and will not fit into my EOTech . They seem to work fine on most other AA devices.

Just stick with eneloops people. There's plenty of deals on those.

I have eneloops too. I buy 1.5v Li-Ion because some devices need the 1.5v to function properly. However, I am not sure how well these live up to the claims on the label on capacity. So far, I am very happy with the XTAR ones.

Lithium batteries are nominally over 3V. There's a voltage regulator in the cell that limits the voltage to 1.5V.

I have been using USB charged batteries for over 10 years, they are pretty safe. What you are sacrificing is capacity for convenience. Just don't use cheap ass bricks.

So you are saying that the reason why that person who posted the review had a blown up battery is because of a cheap charger and not the battery? OK, gotcha.

You should have been in charge of marketing for tesla back when they had issues with cars catching fire. Blame the charger!

Both instances were during recharge. It was something they initiated. If these blew up during usage, then sure 100% the battery.

Stay scared.
