TurboTax is offering any edition of tax software for free if you use and only use their Mobile app and site for filing of 2025 taxes. This is not the TurboTax free product for low income customers but for anyone and any editions of their software.

However, there are many caveats:
- You must file using their mobile app and site (If you continue or move to the desktop, they'll charge you the full amount)
- You must finish filing by Feb. 28, 2026. If you file after that date, they'll charge the full rate.
- The free rate only applies to the DIY service. If you opt for the expert products, the free rate will no longer apply.
- Must not have used TurboTax products for the 2024 tax filing
Typical Intuit gotchas but if you can work within their limits, you can file your tax for free using the higher end edition of their products.
