TurboTax is offering any edition of tax software for free if you use and only use their Mobile app and site for filing of 2025 taxes. This is not the TurboTax free product for low income customers but for anyone and any editions of their software.

However, there are many caveats:
  1. You must file using their mobile app and site (If you continue or move to the desktop, they'll charge you the full amount)
  2. You must finish filing by Feb. 28, 2026. If you file after that date, they'll charge the full rate.

  4. Must not have used TurboTax products for the 2024 tax filing

My fed/state tax returns were over 200 pages last year using Turbo Tax Premier... I'll pass on mobile filing.

Re using the app, it seems doable on a Chromebook or like Samsung Dex to have a decent format screen while still meeting the terms.
