That's like having the highest priced cell phone data plan, but just using Wi-Fi 90% of the time. Totally unnecessary.
Game devs also raised their prices for AAA from $60 to $70+.. is Nintendo a bunch of crooks as well charging $80 for certain games? 🤭 Yup.
So.. should we pay around $60-$70 ($33 on various legit key websites) for 3 months of GPU, and have access to hundreds of games and day 1AAA titles, or buy one $70 game on PS or Nintendo?

Remember when Uber and Lyft was subsidized by venture capitalists, and then they went public and had to turn a profit? Now it costs twice as much or more to use them.
Remember when MoviePass promised unlimited theater movies for $20/month and then they ran out of investments and couldn't sustain that business model and imploded?
Subscribe to GPU or don't, Microsoft doesn't care. Their gaming division has been subsidized by their Cloud and Computing divisions for years. It wasn't sustainable. They're hoping they have enough hooks in people to now turn a profit.
Basement dwellers here are just so vapid.
Companies can do what they want and obviously need to make profit, but no one should be surprised when people vote with their wallets and don't subscribe to services that overprice and underdeliver.
