Is there a code to lower the prices, they are at least $100 more on the site, compared to the price you listed.

Any thoughts on the RG421PB for a first electric? Love the styling on it...picked up an ibanez AAd170 acoustic on last deal for my 11 year old and it has worked out very well, loves it-

I would say it's great as a first electric, the Wizard III neck is my favorite from an ease of playing standpoint. It's light and the pickups are pretty good for a mid tier guitar.

Paying over $200 for a Gio is just.. Shocking. 10+ years ago those guitars were around the $150 range and you could find them used for cheaper. Seeing them at retail for almost $400 on this site is crazy. The coupon brings them to about what they're worth so is that really a deal? 🤔

they are great esp for a beginner. i had one for a bit until i sold it but it's a no nonsense electric w decent humbuckers and a fixed bridge. great fast neck. easy to play and maintain. holds tune pretty well. IIRC, its an indonesian guitar so QC is YMMV but usually good. alot of the cheap guitars nowadays are worlds better than the cheap guitars of long ago so this should serve your kid fine. that's a great price for new. you can use the saved cash on a setup...again depending on the QC, it might need one.

Rg8 for 270 is great and while the pups are muddy, setting this up in drop a# will be fun.
