Major tech companies' impossibly high demand for AI hardware has been wreaking havoc on the storage and RAM markets in the past couple months. There just isn't anywhere near enough supply to go around, resulting in crazy high prices. You should expect higher prices and/or lower specs on laptops, phones, tablets, consoles, etc. next year as a result.

I'd take a 12th Gen Intel over the 13/14th Gen Intel any day of the week. They are still destroying themselves after numerous microcode "fixes".

Why is it higher now? Was it a price error?

We are back to the Crypto GPU shortage days where all the retailers only sold cards in crap bundles with old shit nobody wanted to make people buy it so they could get rid of old stock. It's scummy

It is tempting because You are getting an older processor and motherboard at a steep discount.

I bought this same bundle in September '23 for cheaper to play Starfield and it still ran like garbage. Phantom Liberty ran well pre-upgrade and even better post, so worth it I suppose.

I got a good Newegg bundle last year, even though I have Microcenter here. The problem with Microcenter bundles is that it's always the same bundles.... Newegg bundles deals are rare but they do come once in a blue moon.

mc use to allow you to pick your mobo but people abused it too much by taking a busted up open box board for like $50 and getting heaving discounts of high end CPU. 9950X were coming out to like $360, 7800x3d was $210. etc. would have made more sense to exclude open box items from bundle discounts, but they chose to instead lock the discounts to specific models

Still rocking an intel i7 12700K, Gigabyte Z690 AORUS Ultra, 64GB Corsair (CMT64GX5M2B5200C40) RAM, Nvidia RTX 3060Ti (I also have an RTX 3080 Founders Edition in my closet I'm too lazy to install), Win 10 Pro, build 2004 and I can go weeks without rebooting, no stability issues, and I just do not see a need to upgrade for mediocre performance gains.

I am considering switching to AMD as I hate intel now and their reluctance to actually want to advance their chipsets. Even Apple CPU's can keep up and run circles around most intel chips.
