Premier
Recommended for:
Investments & rental property
list price of $105final price of $5*
Includes 5 federal e-files
Includes 1 state download
State e-file sold separately
I went and added that version and removed the $105 one.
Question is the $5.00 charge only for the download version of Premier vs if I opt for the Online version? $5.00 is not big deal, just wanted to make sure I'm not missing something
Yes for $5. If you accidentally get the online version. You can still get it. It's in the small print towards the bottom on the right side.
HOWEVER if you are only presented the Ultra Mega Max Deluxe Super package for $105. You just have to play with digging through the available products until you get the normal Premiere Version.
It took me awhile to get to it.
It was $69.30 for premier. I usually use deluxe.
Didn't seem like much of a deal but I don't usually buy premier, I get deluxe for <$40 on sale.
There's a lot of hoops to jump through to get to see the price, I hate that. Especially with Intuit involved.
Also on the TT screens, there's a Fidelity logo. Why?? I skeptical enough to think that if I take advantage of the offer, Fidelity gets my data. Yuck.
I've been using TT for 20 years. Maybe this is the year I stop using TT. 🤔
Not sure what you're complaining about. IF you choose Turbotax Intuit has your data and it's been this way since they required you to have an account with them to e-file. So You'd of run away if this was an issue about 6 years ago.
And then you say Fidelity. If Fidelity doesn't already have your financial information. They you're so screwed. They better have that informtion.

I will still have to buy the state I fear. $36.75 + $39
Last year, you still had to login to your Intuit account even when activating with the key. I doubt it'd have changed this year.
I've got 7 figures in brokerage and tax sheltered, had a PCGM and stopped getting the free SW like 4 years ago. I switched to HR and may go with taxfree going forward.
Also keep all my new money in a different brokerage house, stupid on their end as they're easily loosing thousands annually from their cheapness.

If anyone else wants to contribute some interesting data, using your browser F12 tools, go into the site source of your Fidelity dashboard where the offer shows, and hit ctrl+F to search for "Acclimated/Promo/MandO", and copy the offer name that comes after that text. Should be something like TurbotaxHP2026MNO, TurbotaxHV2026MNO, TurbotaxfreeOfferHNWPS.
Along with that offer name, include some info if you're comfortable with it like what type of accounts you have (brokerage, HSA, 401K, IRA, etc.), whether your account is marked Premium Services, whether you have buckets of money (lol).
Eventually we may actually be able to figure out what qualifies one for these deals, though it does seem to change every year.
