You'll be waiting until next year most likely. Game is very popular online
Yeah I was hoping for that price around Black Friday like how it was in previous years. So far I've just seen $35 for console. Guess they can hold the line longer being more popular on PC and beating this year's COD game.
I think this is one you can wait on if you want- just because the community is there and they keep adding content.
Don't get me wrong, it's a good game and I already got my money's worth out of it. I've had the most multiplayer fun with my brother since bad company 2.
If you want a good enough price to justify buying it, I think this is a good sale.
This game lost 85% of the playerbase on Steam already. Seems they're getting a little boost from the sale but the long term health is not looking good. Servers were getting filled with bots.

tbh that is PC gaming. This is the one downside to PC gaming. They have access to thousands of games and herding everyone into one game for an extended amount of time just doesn't happen. Not like on a console where there might be a couple hundred games. imo that is why cross play is so important for a MP game to have to the ability to stay.

I'm on the east coast and maybe 1 in every 10 games there will be bots.
Also if you go solely by steam player count statistics you will be misled. Plenty of xbox and ps5 players I rarely have issues finding games (conquest).
This narrative that a game is "dead" bc of declining steam count is nonsense. You can load up BF4 right now, and find a game in seconds despite it being 10+ years old. Helldivers 2 went through the same thing. People saying the game is "dead" but you can find a game easily.
If you want legit criticisms here are some:
- Assault Class underwhelming compared to Engineer, Support, and Recon
- Maps are much smaller. More focus on "meatgrinder" play style similar to Operation Locker/Metro. You can use custom search to filter out maps you don't enjoy playing. But larger maps are coming as said by the devs.
- Fast "cod-esque" gameplay that ruins the "tactical feel" of battlefield. This is debatable as previous titles also had movement tech that allowed for aggressive play
- Vehicles feel weaker from previous titles. This largely stems from the small maps and subsequently smaller airspace, meaning that TOW missiles, Anti-Air, and RPGs are more effective simply due to less room to maneuver.
- Battlepass and FOMO tactics in a $60+ game
Most of the other "criticism" is just your stereotypical stuff. Complaining about tryhards, not playing the objective, not helping the team, etc. are not unique to Bf6. All shooters will have some form of the above.
Also don't listen to reddit. Endless cesspit of negativity and complaining from people with rose-tinted goggles. More negativity than the League of Legends subreddit which is saying something.
