Yes they will if you have a MC within a few hours drive.

FYI they would not price match for me as best buy doesn't sell the RAM first party.

Great deal considering I got this for $640 in August with Corsair RGB and the outrageous price of RAM right now.

Would this be a good uplift from a 5900x with 64GB DDR4 3600, combined with an RTX 4090? I use it both for gaming, and multithreading processing for large image processing files like Pixinsight. I would still have to add another 32gb of DDR5 ram to just match the current RAM size I have which is often fully utilized for my image processing.

If you can, I'd recommend just waiting a ~year for the RAM shortage to end. Unless your system is completely unusable. I was in a similar boat, but I ended up just getting a used/maxed out CPU for my platform on eBay and am hunkering down.

Short answer, yes for gaming. You'll notice better 1% and improvements if you play competitive fps in 1080p.
If you play in 4k the difference would be minimal (gpu bottlenecked).

In productivity tasks the 9600x betters the 5950x in most tasks (check gamers nexus or hardware unboxed etc CPU reviews on YouTube - RIP Anandtech) so you'll likely see an uplift with the upgrade but do your research based on your workflow.

What kind of specs/pricing were you able to find used? I'm still rocking a core i5 9400 HP with a 1660ti that I got on Walmart clearance a ways back.
Was thinking about building an up to date unit but pricing has been pretty awful. Tried holding out for BF and only got worse it seemed like.

I have to say my system is perfectly usable. I always game single player at 4k so I suspect the uplift there will be minimal. Pixinsight processing can take 8-10 hours to just process a few frames but it is a very intensive task.
I think I will just wait a year until Nvidia 6000 series is announced and just upgrade the entire system at that time. Thanks!

To somewhat answer your question, I've used MSI and gigabyte motherboards extensively with no problems but if pricing is not an issue with you like me, I would stick with ASUS

I was on a 10th gen, and got a 11700 for ~$140. Since it allowed my PCI to use Gen 4 speeds, I also picked up a 5060ti 16gb on sale for $380. Should be good to get me through the rampocolypse.

On an ASUS laptop with a 2070 with 32gigs and an older i7 (8750h). It's just not up to the task for a lot of newer games now. I've been fence sitting forever and it's so frustrating seeing these prices climb back up.

Bah humbug!
