This is usually true, but with Angel Studios I believe the tickets are paid forward by other supporters/donors.

Vid Angel's biggest hit "Sound of Freedom" was about the so called anti-trafficker Tim Ballard. This story was so embellished, he is literally killing the bad guys with his bare hands. Later it came out that Tim Ballard himself victimized several women and OUR employees that he was released from his OUR organization and excommunicated from his church. Also that his many anti-traffic mission did nothing to help the cause. This is the kind of movie company you are supporting when you support their films.
Also this movie just looks bad
