FWIW I didn't realize how small this size monitor was vertically until I put it on my desk. If you like the vertical size of a 27" you're good, but I was used to a 32" 16x9 and it felt way smaller.

Problem with Samsung monitors is that they are long with little height.

That's not a Samsung monitor problem. You're looking at ultrawide monitors which are 21:9 instead of 16:9.

No idea, I posted it as $229. Perhaps an admin changed it for one reason or another. Still showing as $229 on the website.

Probably a typo, it's been fixed now.

Any thoughts on Samsung Odyssey vs LG Ultragear monitors? I'm not looking for this particular 21:9 monitor but I'd be interested in a 16:9 like this one here https://slickdeals.net/f/18971602-199-99-32-lg-ultragear-curved-gaming-monitor-qhd-180hz-1ms-32gs60qc-b-at-amazon

Seriously I didn't think of this but literally experienced the same thing as soon as I unboxed mine. Now I'm not sure if I should exchange for qhd or not but this 21:9 is certainly looking much smaller.

That's up to you. I personally wish I sent it right back. I liked how wide it was but the lack of vertical space was a dealbreaker. I then bought a 38" ASUS ROG 4K 144hz IPS monitor. My HP x34 (similar to this) is vertical next to the ASUS now.

This is the reality of ultrawide 21:9, if you want the same height as a 32" 16:9 widescreen, you need a 39-40" 21:9 ultrawide. Which unfortunately is not a common size.
