These aren't Walmart and disposable, they're hobby grade. Batteries and chargers are not proprietary and the options are nearly unlimited out there.

I'd still opt for a brushless one. Not because it's a fad, but because they don't burn out like brushed (and they certainly will much more in faster/heavier vehicles like this), capable of a lot more speed, and the battery life is better. Too many pros versus the cons to ignore.

Then it should be called ARTR, PNP, BNF, whatever else but not RTR.
