This is a must own for any movie fan. Especially in 4k, its stunning and wildly atmospheric. Dev Patel is a wildly good actor in general and this is him at his best

One of the few movies I started watching, started losing attention after 15-20 minutes, stopped after 1/2 hour thinking I'll circle back in a few days to try to finish, but never did. This was almost 4 year ago haha. It was just slow and I just couldn't click with it. I bought the 4K when it was on sale at BB for $10. Maybe I'll give it a shot again over the holidays.

I had the exact same experience! Luckily I was able to get it for even less money than this deal.

If the weed doesn't help, I'm out. 😀 One of my recent epic weed watches was poor things. I was blown away with how crazy but kind of genius it was. Haha.

Poor Things was kinda gross to me. I understand it was about her discovery of sexuality, but since I worked at a mental health facility it seemed kind of rapy to me. She didn't seem to have her capacity to make decisions for a lot of the movie.

Fantastic film, especially for those with an attention span longer than 5 minutes.

Green Knight is one of my favorites. Its very atmospheric and dreamlike. Its important to ingest each dialogue because it all ties together the larger parable.

I had to watch it twice before I really understood what was happening behind the scenes. Very recommended if you like morality tales. its not an action film. Its very progrock inspired.

It's very true that neither film is Hollywood-formulaic.

The only movie I've ever walked out of in my life. I think if I were very high it may work but otherwise it was not at all what was expected.
Very very artsy. The type of film that people defending it often say "it's very deep and you need to be open to blah blah blah". I walked out after the second weird naked giants that were not explained. Which is a shame because I hear shortly after that the two main male knight characters make love which as you know is very Arthurian and keeps to the original poem/story.
I've sat through an angel produced movie that was actually a show that they cut down to a 2 hour movie length and gave away tickets for.. that was horrible and I sat the entire bible thumping 2 hours regrettably. So for me to walk out of this one..
I fully expect to get massively down voted but if you're here wanting a knight adventure with cool fighting, armor and a story.. skip this. It's a confusing artsy ashevillian mess. Go watch the 1980s Excalibur.

If you were an English major or you read Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, you will appreciate this. It's very literary and strange and bizarre. Dev Patel seems like a strange choice on the surface but it actually works really well. Yes it's a little slow.
