Is this better than my Fuel circ saw and a straight edge?

You would get the same cut, but the track saw is just much more convenient. You can plunge into the material rather than start further back. You can see exactly where you'd cut before you cut it (the track will show you the line). The ease of setup: you can set the track and most times you don't even have to clamp it down because the rubber grip is enough. It'd make you think "I should have gotten this sooner." That's coming from someone who has made their own straight edge out of wood and then the wood eventually wrapping.

If on the fence. I say just get it. It is better than my corded Festool (silky smooth!). Just check the pricing on a Festool setup!
