The comments on Best Buy's site say it works for existing customers but can only be added within 6 months of expiration of existing subscription. I usually wait until after the existing subscription expires anyway.

Sams club has it for $40 as mentioned by another user. Still good price.
Good software. I recommend it to all. Desktop experience is good on pc and mac. Mobile and web app is good for on the go. The more detailed you are, the better the results.

Sam's Club does not offer free shipping unless you're a Plus member AND spend $50. So Deluxe alone would not get free shipping.

Newegg use to be the cheapest and I saw in another thread that it's been out of stock there for months.

The back of the box says that the activation code is good for one year after purchase. So buy now and wait until 6 months before you expiration to enter the code.

I can confirm that it works for existing subscribers. I ordered from Best Buy the end of November for $41.93 and received a box with the key on a slip of paper and applied it for an additional year.
I wish I had paid attention to the fine print as I'm tempted to order another but I'm unsure how long the key is good for. Someone mentioned 1yr, hopefully that's true.
It's discouraging the new norm for sales is $42 but I've been using Quicken for 30 years so I'm hooked.

I bought for Walmart they chewed sales tax. When I check out this no sales tax.

Did you enter a proper shipping address? This isn't just a code they email you, so you need to be able to receive a physical shipment at the address. If your address was the same with Walmart and BB you'd be subject to the same tax and I'd be surprised you weren't charged.
