Is this confirmed? I heard others say this and then they were told it doesn't actually work this way.

"Confirmed" by Embark Studios itself. Although not a direct answer. A few people have done aggression tests and found that when they are aggressive, they get aggressive player lobbies.

I haven't bought from this site before. I pulled the trigger, but I haven't gotten a steam code. Should I be expecting a separate email? If so, how long should I expect that to take?

Log into your account in Game Billet. Under My Games the steam code is there. I buy games on there all the time no issues.

It's an extraction shooter, the entire genre is difficult by design. It's by far the most friendly one that exists though. Pretty much every other one is shoot on sight anything that can be.

yeah but at a certain point, don't you need to upgrade and use gear that you crafted? I guess you can just play the game via free load out always, but then at what point do you feel like you aren't making any progress?

Eventually you might need to take key cards in with you, but they are usually provided in some way. The gear is really cheap to craft, and the components for it are everywhere. Plus, there's a chicken that gets you some of the basic stuff each round.

I'm almost to the point where I can "prestige" (this games version of it anyways), and I've used free to mid-tier gear the whole time. No road block on progress.
