If you want to know what Starship Troopers is really about, read the book. It's eye-opening and a fascinating political idea. The whole story is just a vehicle to slowly unroll the political philosophy. The whole thing is brilliant.

got this for $10 on ps5 months ago. Haven't gotten around to playing it and later purchased helldivers on xbox. I hope it is an okay game.

I played this on PC before Helldivers 2 came out. Fun game, especially if you enjoyed the movies. Though it seemed to have some performance issues initially (probably better now), and Helldivers 2 really killed it due to being very similar but much more popular (and honestly better). Though I really liked the base building / defense mechanic

I quit the game for a year because of those issues. Also have a new pc with nvidia card vs radeon and have no real issues and newer levels and modes. I need to play helldivers soon

At release it was a shabby looking mess of a game. Texture wall clipping and just unpolished.
If they didnt do some real overhaul its a 3rd rate game like f2p games that have no real talent involved.

Should be proud! The huge AAA studios can't figure out how to do large scale PVE with 100s-1000s of devs & unlimited AI budgets.
Small team of Canadians killing it with this game.

I bought this last sale (Steam), but returned it because I couldn't connect to a single game (tried on multiple computers) after doing the tutorial.

Base building seemed like it would be interesting, but I never got to give the game a full shake because of the issue above.

Make sure if you buy it, you actually try it while still in the return window
