Well, screw Nintendo and their double dipping by shorting us on storage and then allowing game publishers to sell us game-key cards that take up storage space forcing us to buy this overpriced media.
Now cite something that makes what you say make sense, since "all of this is an easy find upon research."
Of course other game manufacturers use cartridges. That has nothing to do with what I was saying. Cartridges are the 3rd slowest way to load games on the switch 2, behind the storage that is built into the console, and then the sd express card. I think you're dismissive and lack comprehension skills. Share something that's actual helpful. Just because other companies may do the same thing doesn't mean it's good Nintendo does it too.

Yeah, I just found out about the game-key cards. These are essentially just dummy cartridges that allow you to download the game? And, I heard that Metroid 4 is one of the rare games stored on the cartridge, but the cartridge games load slower. I didn't research before buying the system for my daughter, but it is a downer, how greedy and evil companies prey on nostalgia.
Back to this express card: I bought it and am returning the Mario branded one.

While they don't mandate it, they also no longer offer the cheaper game cards with less storage. This incentivizes the developer to use the key cards instead of paying more money for a game card with a greater amount of storage they don't need.

Express is the new standard and is expensive in comparison to the older SD cards. Most people buying these for Switch 2, which can't use the older cards.
