First order from this seller: listed as open-box, unused, unlocked iPhone 16 Pro Max → received a used, scratched, carrier-locked phone. Took almost 2 weeks to get a refund.

Second order: new, unlocked iPhone SE (3rd gen).
What showed up? A brand-new Verizon-locked iPhone 13 😂

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice… apparently I like surprises 😂

5G Capable
Runs latest iOS versions
Smaller size that many prefer
Haptic home button with fingerprint sensor
Respectable iPhone 13 processor
Lightning connector for legacy charging cable compatibility
Fully compatible with Fast Charging and wireless charging
I've had this phone for a year and a half and I love it. So much faster and more capable than the one it replaced. Obviously not a $1200 flagship model, but does everything I need.

You received a Verizon prepaid version but not locked?
Correct. On the outside of the box in a Verizon packet glued to the box, it stated it was locked until 60 days of activation. I checked the IMEI on T-Mobile and it was good to use and unlocked. As stated, it wasn't the one listed by the OP, but a different eBay listing.

I bought from the same listing you provided and received a brand-new Verizon prepaid iPhone 13. I checked the IMEI and it says:Locked Carrier: 2387 – US Verizon Locked Policy SIM-Lock Status: Locked. Maybe I should try it with T-Mobile

I got one of the new open box ones last week, for $88 from them. Battery is 100% but does have usage marks so not exactly open box and only shipped with USB cable. Would using TF $20 plan unlock this? Also if someone who has Verizon account post paid activates this on one of their lines, it will unlock after 60 days too?

Future iOS updates will require 10+GB so 64GB is gonna eat it up sooner than u think. Recommend 128GB or higher for the right price.

Does that unlock policy mean the eSIM is unlocked?

If it doesn't show this, you are screwed.

Because iPhone still better than the alternatives
I use my primary phone iphone 17 pro to go out look good with friends, but my backup phone moto g stylus 2025 beats it in every way, not in terms of hardware, but in terms of OS and AI features due to Google Gemini is king.

This one is locked, the -V after the model number means it is locked to Verizon. I ordered an unlocked one last week and received it on Saturday. Here is the new unlocked one https://ebay.us/m/Tgm2f3. It was a Verizon prepaid, but it was never opened and not locked. I guess someone just bought it and traded it in.
Is this just the Network? Will it activate on Visible?

64 gb kills this deal for me. I have 128 GB and getting worried this won't be enough soon.

Great phones with iPhone 13 guts. Bought this 2 years ago for Christmas from Walmart, I think Straight Talk. Unlocked after 2 mo. service. Now use on T-Mobile. Bought 2. I think they were $50. I think end of support is 2028. I would not buy now though unless totally unlocked for $50, knowing end of life is near.

How are people still paying $100+ these days for 64gh iPhones?

😬
I am an IT engineer but not only do I barely use any data on my phone (typically 1.2 - 2GB /month) but neither do I really use much space. I only have about 2 or 3 games and some restaurant apps, a couple apps I use for work, shopping apps (like Sams, Costco, Target, Kohls, etc..) and that is about it. Other than the mass amount of pictures I have to take (my biggest source of storage), I could easily get by with a 64GB storage on a phone.

My generalized question is, "Why do so many people live on their phones?"
