That happens if you don't rinse the brew group every week. It takes less than 5 mins a week to avoid issues and keep this machine working properly. People don't read the instructions then complain.

Community Reviews

The Philips 3200 LatteGo is a fully automatic espresso machine that stands out for convenience, speed, and strong value for milk drinks. It makes decent espresso and coffee, the LatteGo milk system is easy to use, and the grinder is very quiet. With the right beans and settings, it can replace expensive cafe drinks and pay for itself quickly. The main cautions are routine upkeep, including weekly brew group rinsing and occasional lubrication, plus reports of leaks and support headaches. It is a practical pick if you want easy, fast drinks without manual frothing.

After seeing the size differential between the pucks, seems like the Delonghi is the way to go if you want stronger coffee.
Different Delonghi models have different max puck size/weight.
If I remember correctly the Magnifica Evo maxes out at around 12-13g a puck while the Magnifica Plus maxes at ~18g

Received the 3200 a few days ago and it's a solid machine that has everyone enjoying their coffees a little bit more. For the price, I'm happy with the value for dollar.

This isn't the first time this is posted. You can search the other threads for comments from people who actually bought it.

It's a good price for a device that's fully automated. It's not going to be better than the more expensive devices where you can froth the milk manually but it is still pretty good, especially once you get the right settings down.

Was going to bite, but 1-star reviews are interesting...mold and leaks are recurring themes
Leaks yes, mold no, unless you expect a food appliance quit ever cleaning it to self maintain. However, rinsing every now and then is very easy.

Dark roast is the way to go. Just make sure it's not oily.
That what I thought until I discover medium to light roast makes for a much better tasting drink!
