The Amazon version is the GOG.com version. So I'd expect it to sync to GOG not Steam.
Also, Amazon does not offer the DLCs for free. (DLCs require separate purchase from either Luna with a discount or directly from GOG)
I played through the main game on Luna and enjoyed it especially the ending was very satisfactory and well done. I would not say it's perfect but I'd give it 90/100. (as a reference I'd give Expedition 33 85/100)
*UPDATE* It turned out I was wrong, The save game does not sync to GOG. Luna has a different version of the game.

So despite some website reporting the game is available until 12/31, according to the above link it will be included until 3/01! That is a very long time. I played through it in a rush to finish by 12/31 but might have turned out to be unnecessary.
