For all the people who complain about the price, if you love coffee or tea at the perfect temperature this is a game changer. Bought it for 100 3 years ago and never regretted it.
I have been using mine daily for a year. The worst part of my day is when I wake up and I forgot to put it on the charger. Coffee stays nice and hot for 60-90mins. Haven't noticed any battery degrade.
Amazing to see this comment my experience over the last five years with multiple of these mugs is exactly the opposite
I had similar sentiments about my ember 1. I also didn't like that when I drank lattes/cappuccinos that they would form a skin on top, quite displeasing. I figured it was because I'd drink one over the course of an hour and the temperature would only go so low.
I have one and wouldn't recommend . It takes 3 hours to charge and provides 40 minutes warm time. And you have to use the app there are no controls . So half a day to charge for one meetings worth of hot coffee . A microwave is way better

I don't really think these are meant to be daily OFF charger mugs.. that use case is probably challenging with a mug (that already has weight) and needing a battery pack for warming without making the mug too heavy.. that said, on charger - there is no problem. Off charger, my Mug 2, lasts easily 60 min and usually 75+, although for the mornings when I'm having tea/coffee at my desk and its is sitting on the charger on my desk it maintains temp as long as I like.. what Ember really should do it makes accessories charging bases that are really cheap.. maybe easily USB plugged.. then one could have a base in several places.. (hey, that would be a great marketing line "get a base for every place!"

I agree . If it came with extra bases or supported MagSafe chargers it would be more useful. The base not using USB is another ding .
I get the technical limitations , but it's still a $150 mug with minimal utility
