You might be right. Once I bought Lindt chocolate from Amazon and it expired in 3 weeks. I asked Amazon and they told me to put the chocolate in the fridge and "the chocolate should be good for 6 months regardless of the expiration day". I think I received partial credit at the end, after a long discussion with several customer agents.

Since they're now showing as "temporarily out of stock", I'm guessing that any orders placed now are likely for fresh stock. But since they're out of stock there's no S&S option.
