Not common, but it does exist. You can also buy 48GB RAM sticks.
That said, given the current RAM market it will be difficult to find another 24GB stick at a reasonable price to complete the set in the near future. At least this provides 50% more RAM than the typical 16gb.

This laptop supports up to 96GB RAM (2x48GB). The screen only has a 45% NTSC color gamut and 60hz refresh rate. The USB-C port can do 10gb/s data, DP 1.4b video(4k 60hz), and charge the laptop. The HDMI port is limited to 1080p 60hz.

Good deal. Single channel ram isn't ideal but for most people you won't notice much difference. It mostly affects iGPU performance (e.g. gaming).
