It says the manufacturer is Stanley Black & Decker. After checking I see Dewalt is one of their brands. I never knew that, learn something new everyday. Now if I could just figure out what the heck this thing does.

Offering a high capacity-to-weight ratio of 554Wh at 11.7 lbs, the lightweight DEWALT POWERSHIFT™ 554Wh Battery powers the DEWALT POWERSHIFT™ cordless equipment system.

That's a big battery.

Yes it is a for their powershift system which is "light equipment" tools. Focused primarily on concrete work. Not compatible with dewalt 20v system. Batteries cant be used on flexvolt tools but flexvolt batteries can be used on powershift tools with an adapter they sell separately but a 15ah flexvolt battery (5ah 60v) is only half the capacity of a powershift battery so not ideal. Made to compete with Milwaukee mx fuel. Not as many tools much newer system.

This is a battery charger for DeWalt's newer POWERSHIFT line of heavy duty battery powered equipment. This is DeWalt's version of Milwaukee's MX FUEL as more may recognize since that system has been out a while.

This is likely a good deal for this item but it is not something even pro-sumer's (that are browsing SlickDeals) are likely to have. This is geared towards contractors and construction markets.

They made a new series thats like flexvolt 60v, but its not backwards compatible. Its heavy duty tools that would be used on a large construction site like jack hammers. It would be cool if they made a riding lawn mower, that didnt fail

They also own Bostitch, Craftsman, and several other well known tool and machine companies. I believe that is why all the ToughCase storage finally was compatible across multiple brands. I have Dewalt, stacked with Irwin, stacked with Craftsman... It was amazing to see so many brands actually interchangeable!

This would have been nice if it was an inverter for 20V batteries lol

I assumed people would understand that.
Eh, it's wild how completely lacking on information both this post and the product listing are. Product images not showing any cord didn't help.
With a name like 'powershift', I wondered if it was a power bank that could charge their 20V batteries... but yes, it's an AC -> DC charger for their 'powershift' batteries, which I've never even heard of until just now. Apparently Dewalt's version of Milwaukee's 'MX Fuel' lineup, as someone else already said.

I'm a tech & tool geek and I had to google it to figure out what exactly it was.

Crazy I didn't know they owned all that. The company I worked for 10 years ago was acquired by the company that owned Irwin. I was excited to get discounts on Irwin tools but sadly they were sold the next month.
