Generic...2025 Upgrade can't be the name, but it seems like a decent "Barista Express" type of machine for the money. On second though, it's a huge win that they didn't give it a didn't give it a cheesy brand name and label plastered on the front. One nice selling point is the 58mm portafilter, but upon closer inspection of the photos the brushed metal around the machine looks kind of cheap.
I think it comes down to can you afford a Breville Barista Express? If you can swing it, you're better off buying the Breville that's $500 right now. Twice as much, for sure, but a design with a proven track record from a reputable company.

So, my two questions to you is... is this boiler made out of steel, aluminum or copper and is it painted?
I got my Breville Bambino "used like new" from Amazon for $181 and guess what... it was not in "like new condition" and I called Amazon and they gave me $50 off... total paid was $181 plus tax less $50. NOW that's a deal. And I have been enjoying my AMAZING coffee ever since.
After all my research and I am sick and tired of the cheap machines which I have been using all my life... before you buy you should know
1. What the boiler is made of and if it is painted (many issues with painted boilers from the best companies... and that is why you should not buy used unless you know there were never issues)
2. It is nice to know how long it takes to heat your water. And if there is any way to make it hotter or cooler (+- one degree).
And personally, I just put milk in a glass and put it in the microwave, no interest in cleaning those wands... so I have no interest in getting the Bambino+. My brother who has a $1000 machine uses a manual frother such as this one... https://www.amazon.com/SimpleTast...r=8-9&th=1
And I personally do not like it when the coffee burr is part of your machine... I got this brand years ago and it is great and cheap, I had a Bodum before and it made more of a mess and broke after a year, got another one and it also broke right after a year.... this one is already 3 years old and has worked perfectly. If I put it to the finest setting, it is too fine for my expresso machine, so I dial it back two notches. https://www.amazon.com/SHARDOR-El...45&sr=8-10

If you're talking about the Upgrade 2025 it's supposed to be stainless steel.
Don't buy a machine like this. Spending hundreds of dollars on a no name brand with cheap materials is wasting money, not saving it.
There are an increasing number of reputable brands playing in this space. The best option is still going to be buying machine + grinder separately, e.g. Breville Bambino (or the Gaggia Espresso Evolution, etc) plus a Baratza Encore ESP (or Turin DF54).
Frankly, in this price point and in just about any price point, the grinder is more important than the machine. You do not want to rely on the grinder in this machine. Buy an espresso-capable $200 grinder and you'll be able to make terrific coffee whether you're doing a pour-over using a $10 V60 or a $30 French press or a $250 espresso machine like the Bambino or Gaggia.
Don't waste your money on this.
Need to see a teardown to believe... and is it painted or not painted?
They say it's stainless, but you would have to buy one and tear it apart yourself since I don't think anyone else will. I wouldn't buy it for a more basic reason. I don't think it's wise to buy from an unknown company like this one to begin with. For a $10 toaster fine, but this is still a good chunk of money. The main risk is it's longevity. If it doesn't work out of the box there's no risk since it's Prime, but what about a year later? I wouldn't take the risk on that one.
DO NOT buy these types of consumer machines. They don't work well, they're not serviceable, they're not built to last.... you won't use them.
Buy a Nespresso and a milk frother, or invest in something like a Eureke Mignon grinder and a Gaggia Classic at a BARE minimum. You need pro-sumer grade for grinders and espresso machines for them to be worth it in the long run.
These are the easy-bake ovens of the espresso world. Don't waste your time and money.

Look, this is $50 on Temu... $50. That is not a big chunk of money.
Why is it 5 times more money at Amazon... it is because this is "Paid Advertisement" this is obviously not a deal.
Built in grinders are always trash. The grinder is the most important piece of an espresso setup and you're going to pay more for the grinder than the espresso machine (unless you're balling out on a crazy setup). All that to say, I'd suggest not buying a combo unit. If you're tight on cash get either the espresso maker (can use, gasp, pre-ground espresso like Cafe Bustelo) or the grinder first (espresso grinder will grind beans for drip/French press/moka pot/aeropress etc and give a more consistent result) and then find the other piece when you save up and run across another deal.

I find Gaggia to expensive, so I went with the Breville Bambino. And Gaggia had real issues with paint chips coming off the boiler but the E24 is the copper boiler and should be OK to buy second hand... can not trust any other model second hand. I also would not buy a refurbished Gaggia... due to the amount of returns they got once the paint chip issue was detected.
Also, I don't see the difference between a $50 coffee burr or your $350 coffee burr... they both use the exact same process to break down the coffee beans. Perhaps, your machine can make the coffee beans even more fine... but the finest setting on my $50 machine is already too fine for my expresso machine... point is I don't need a machine to make it even more fine.

what makes espresso machines so expensive? this one looks reasonable compared to other brand names. So tempting to buy.
Espresso is funny like that. It took me a long time to convince myself to spend over $100 for a coffee appliance, but eventually I gave in. I bought a used Gaggia Classic on Ebay for a couple hundred. That was over 10 years ago and I've used it every day since, and it looks and works the same as when I bought it.
Unfortunately, for quality espresso gear you do need to spend. There are cheap options for espresso machines, and those cheap options are getting better every day, but you do get what you for...to a point. There is a point of diminishing returns in my opinion, but for anyone serious about getting started in quality espresso a "cheap" semi-auto like a Gaggia Classic Pro E24 https://www.wholelattelove.com/pr...lassic-e24 is a good place to start. It will cost you $500 new, but there are machines costing over $5000 and everything in between. Is a 5K machine worth the extra $4500? Not to me, but I'm sure it's amazing and if money didn't matter I'd buy one. There are sub $200 espresso machines that are Breville and DeLonghi knock-offs that work fine as well. Do some research online and you'll be able to figure out what's important and what's not.
The machine is one thing, but grinders are another. As a lot of espresso fans will tell you "The grinder is more important than the machine". That's true to an extent but it's not as difficult as it used to be to find a good grinder. You don't need to spend $500 or more for a good grinder. Amazon has 64mm flat burr grinders that have stepless adjusters for under $200, and conical burr espresso grinders that work just fine for under $100. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=flat+b...-left_1_19

It isn't $50, and it costs more on Amazon because Amazon charges 3rd party sellers so the price almost always higher than direct or drop shippers. It's $200 on Temu, you have to click the item since there are two machines they always show the cheap one first. It's $60 cheaper than on Amazon, but even $200 is an amount I'm not willing to risk on an unknown brand.

And stating why it is more expensive is just silly. This is PAID ADVERTISEMENT and is NOT A DEAL. Most paid advertisements are deals, just not this one.

Sellers do pay more selling on Amazon than selling through Temu, that's a fact. That is why the Temu price is typically cheaper since Temu sellers sell directly from China and on slimmer margins.
Does Slickdeals (owned by a partnership between Hearst Corporation and the private equity arm of Goldman Sachs (West Street Capital) work with Amazon and major manufacturers, sure, but probably not in this case. Maybe, but the OP would have to confirm that. Not everything on SlickDeals is an advertisement, a lot of deals are "found" by people like you and me.

I think it comes down to can you afford a Breville Barista Express? If you can swing it, you're better off buying the Breville that's $500 right now. Twice as much, for sure, but a design with a proven track record from a reputable company.
