This compact Ryobi 18V wet and dry vacuum is best for quick cleanup in cars, on workbenches, and around the house, especially if you already use Ryobi batteries. It is light, portable, and handy for crumbs, sawdust, Sheetrock dust, screws, and small wet pickups, and it can even be flipped into a mini blower. The main limits are modest suction versus corded shop vacs, fast battery drain, and a short nozzle that can force kneeling. The 1 gallon body also will not fit on a standard 5 gallon bucket.

  • This cordless wet/dry vacuum works well for car cleaning and workbench cleanup without dragging a cord.

  • This vacuum can handle wet cleanup tasks like spot-cleaning leftover pool water remnants.

  • This model can be used as a mini blower by removing the hose and plugging into the exhaust port.

  • Replacement bags can cost less than replacing the filter, which may reduce ongoing maintenance expenses.

  • The 1-gallon rectangular body may not fit on top of a typical 5-gallon bucket.

  • This vacuum's suction can be weaker than plug-in vacuums and may limit heavy-duty pickup.

  • Bag installation can be finicky, and inserting the bag piece at an angle may be required to avoid ripping the bag.

  • This vacuum can drain Ryobi batteries quickly, and a 4Ah battery may be needed for more than brief use.

No. This is more of a "crumbs on a car seat or wood dust on a workbench" type thing.
I'm actually surprised how strong the suction is. Might be powerful enough.

I learned that we can print a 3D adaptor and use a certain vacuum bag in this. So the general filter doesn't get dirty. So far I've had it using general clean up without pulling out a plug to clean things up when I finish drilling or cutting something.
Don't you want a filter to get dirty? Isn't that how it filters?

Yes. Well the bags are much cheaper then the filter. So replacing 10 bags almost equals to 1 filter itself. So there is that.....

Any chance on linking the 3d adapter and bags?

I would buy this over and over again at $50. It has been invaluable for cars, sawdust, Sheetrock, wet vac toilet tanks, etc.

I have two of the original styles. The first I bought from a deal posted here. The second one some guy posted online free because some how he cracked the sidewall of the pan. I probably can't use it for wet stuff maybe but I slapped duct tape on that sucker and it does great vacuuming out my cars. You don't always want to lug a big one around or be tied to a power plug.

With that being said you might be able to combine some kind of discount with gift card deals.. I'm sitting on a 100 gift card in my Uber eats account right now and they do home Depot I think..

Great little vacuum to have around when you're already in the Ryobi battery ecosystem. I've used it in the car, around my work bench and even to clean up the last bit of water in a pool. Love the thing.
lmao an iddy bitty pool

It was actually a 4 ft high and 16 ft diameter pool. we had already pumped out as much as possible so we were just cleaning up the liner before packing it away for the year. This made it really easy to just spot clean up the last remnants of water.

So you don't use the filter? I'm afraid I'm confused by the whole process. I'll have to do a deeper dive into this. Thank you :-)

Great vacuum for small jobs.
FYI, you can remove the hose and plug it into the exhaust port to turn it into a mini blower.

I just bought this for my basement finishing project. Does a great job. Powerful enough to suck screws and heavier materials. Confirmed it will not fit on top of typ. 5 gal buckets. Only down side is the slender nozzle isn't much longer... I'd prefer to stand and be able to suck up debris instead of having to kneel down. Also excellent for car cleanup
