I would have killed for one of these when i was doing paint and body work. The buffers we had to use were corded and weighed about 20-25 lbs. This is a hell of a deal if you have any use for a polisher

I remember those polishers! I would slide them left and right over some polishing compound and burn thru some clear coats. They were so heavy!

When the orbitals came out, my dad was in the backyard just sanding away and looking for swirl marks over and over again. Those old polishers had all metal bodies! And they'd sling themselves around! Handheld floor sander.

Is this the lowest it's been? Looks like a wonderful deal. Making me want to retire my orbital corded for polishing/waxing car.

Same.
Only thing is MAYBE once a year i actually put the effort into washing my car to the point where you would even entertain the thought of this thing coming into play and making a difference.
I know in reality what i'll end up doing is using it as a sander in ways I shouldn't.

Couldn't you just put some polishing attachments on a drill? Explain the difference?

If you have a drill, the 3M Ultra Headlight Restoration Kit comes with everything you need. I just used it last week on my headlights.

Having said that, very tempted to get this deal for both detailing my car and some sanding work.

Could you use this for Sanding drywall? Need to skim coat a few bedrooms with mud and am wondering if it's worth it over a pole sander

Nvm.. not large enough to be effective
