No this uses their top of the line Strip Light 2 Pro which has a much higher LED density and better brightness. I recently got the 32ft of it for another project and it blows away their basic strips. The Strip Light 2 Pro is $70 for the 16ft so this is a pretty good deal considering the extras.

Based on photos this light looks nice, but when it's off I think it'll look like a ghetto clothesline just hanging on the ceiling. Maybe for a specific use case it'll look better? I almost bought it many times but ultimately decide against it

Where/how do people use this? Seems like a cool idea but you just have a string hanging across your ceiling like a clothesline?

I want this but I also know it's probably a $20 strip and the rest the is the hardware gimmick.... Isn't their most basic 16ft strip $10?

Maybe the popularity of all of these strip lights and wall washing effects will finally eliminate the preference for ugly textured skip-trowel drywall in my local area.

Light washes just create a bunch of ugly shadows off the texture and make it look like crap. I hate it so much, but it is present in most local homes built in the last 20+ years and getting rid of it would require either expensive skim coating or re-drywalling.

Does make it easy to patch holes though...you'll never see my patches since the whole wall already looks like a patch job!

I have a lot of Hue lights, but have been only buying Govee for the last 3 years. They're about 20% the cost of Hue and 90% of the quality.
