5070ti is newer tech, faster memory with GDDR7, lower power usage, I think it will retain value better due to it being more desirable for AI workloads - while providing about the same raw performance for gaming.

Just buy 5070ti instead of 4080.
Same 16gb but newer ram for 5070ti.
Low power consumption for 5070ti.
There's no point of getting 4080 if it's the same price and performance of 5070ti.
This is only a deal if the price is $600 to $650.
