Good deal, but notice quart size. I got a similarly good deal at Kohls years ago... maybe a decade ago at this point... and I wish it was a 5 or 6 quart

The tilt head only good for light duty. If you are mixing dough, go with lift bowl for more torque/power.

These are not your mom's KitchenAids. They are made with cheaper parts they will break.

From what I understand they may be relatively cheap but are still very easily repairable, and still miles better than a lot of cheaper brands.

A family member has one of these newer ones and over Christmas we mixed lots of heavy dough and things and it seemed to work just fine.

More than a decade for me at Kohls too when you used to flood the doors at opening on BF. Still have it, use it all the time and still going strong and still wanting a 5 or 6 qt version but oh well..

The plastic gear that protect the motor will break. I repaired and sold my 4.5qt Classic and Ultra couple years ago. The lift bowl do come with metal and plastic version. To be honest, I found the food process is more universal and much faster when come to mixing, slicing, shred, fine mince, etc.. My recommend is Cuisinart 14 cup. You can get dozen blade for various task. It had been around for many decade and you can get disc blade made in Japan.

The KitchenAid mixers these days are trash. My wife's died shortly after warranty. I'd look elsewhere
