The bathroom light outlet is horizontal so I wanted the light plug to be turned 90 degrees. There are 4 small screws that hold the plug into the light and you can easily rotate it. There is a small notch in the light housing that can be sanded/snipped but even if you don't the plug will screw back in place turned . Long and short, it is quite easy to have the outlet rotated it you need.
