They do. All you need is a Bridge (wow it's included) that talks Matter and Bridge will translate to all other accessories.

I genuinely have no idea why anyone would buy this. $30-60 a bulb for some rainbow gimmick. Realistically you will have it on normal light colors 99% of the time. And if you're buying it for the gimmick then I assume you're spending hundreds if not thousands for the right to do so... and if a bulb goes out then youre toast. what???

I used to think the same thing, but now I believe the high upfront cost is justified. I've been into home automation since 2013, and I've tried just about every zigbee and zwave bulb that ever existed. The most reliable and accurately colored bulbs I've had are Hue, and all 12 of them still work flawlessly to this day. And it's not like I use them sparingly either. I have them in every bedroom so most have been turning on and off with motion multiple times per day for almost 13 years straight. I haven't even owned a dumb led bulb that was able to last that long. I do own a dimmable zwave bulb that I purchased at the same time that also still works, but being that it's in my network closet, it's not used nearly as much as the Hues. All of my Lifx bulbs failed within 5 years, for comparison. And no other brand I've tried is even worth mentioning here.

So yeah, I paid a good amount of money for my Hue bulbs over a decade ago, but they were worth every penny.

They work well. Pricey but well., I use the colors a good amount, so that other post? He is fairly clueless. I have the huge bulbs in a 20 foot high ceiling. Not a single bulb ever blew out.

I've had the same experience, I bought many years ago from various brands (lifx, kasa, govee, and philips), Nearly all of them have failed EXCEPT 1 kasa bulb and all the philip hue ones, I slowly replaced all my bulbs with philips and won't be switching to another brand any time soon

For one they have the best blues from what I've seen in an rgb bulb, but that was years ago. I have a recent govee product and can't achieve deep blues with it.

I've bought from various brands, this one has lasted near a decade already, NONE of them have failed. I also bought cheaper kasa, lifx, govee bulbs and basically all of them have died and under 2-3 years. Philips hue is durable as heck.
I'd say I use them waay more often than what you think, the "scenes" function autosets to something kinda colorful but still realistically acceptable. They give a great touch during holidays, like the most recent nutcracker and under the tree scenes for christmas and the thanksgiving themed one.
But yeah, they are expensive

Anyone used the A19s in a recessed can? The BR30s aren't on sale unfortunately.

Not a good idea - they die in a year or two due to heat.

Just a heads up, these 60W bulbs jut aren't as bright as other 60W bulbs I've used. If you want something brighter, go with the 75W 1100 lumens version

They really help when my wife's migraines kick up, she can just tell Alexa to make the room orange or dimmer and it goes. Much more trouble with my cree, tp-link, whatever bulbs.
